2017 FOALS |
First up this year is a lovely grey filly by Mission Impazible out of the great Multiple Graded Stakes placed winning mare, Elle Runaway by El Prado, who earned over $400K in her racing career. Since retiring from the track, Elle has been a great producer and this big, pretty filly is no exception. Foaled on 1/17/2017, this filly is destined for greatness both on the track and as a future broodmare. Bella is for sale! |
Our second foal of the season is a big, gorgeous colt by the hot young stallion Mission Impazible and out of our Stakes-producing mare, Downtown Daria. Daria's career was cut short due to injury, but not before getting a win in only her third race. She is by G1 winner Sky Mesa and out of the Stakes winning, Stakes placed and Stakes producing mare Hongkong Charley. Daria's 2014 filly, Downtown at Noon, placed 3rd in her very first Stakes race! Foaled on 2/13/2017, watch for Neversayimpazible at the track. He will be a Stakes running machine! Indy was sold at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Fall Sale and is on his way to a career as a racehorse. It will be fun to follow his progress. |
Next in line, arriving 2/23/17 is another beautiful colt, this one by Alpha and out of the great running and producing mare, Funny Annie. Annie is a Multiple Stakes winner, who also placed in three other Stakes aces and 4th place finishes in three more. She has earnings over $167K with 6 wins in 22 starts, attained a 95 Beyer speed rating and retired sound. Annie has since been a great producer with five foals of racing age, four to race, three of them winners. The fifth has not yet started, but is showing great promise in training. This colt could be her best yet with near perfect conformation and being bred to excel at the track. With his bloodlines, Jack Russel also holds great promise as a future stallion prospect. Jack is being retained for possible sale as a yearling. |
April 6, 2017 brought another colt to the farm. This one, by Teuflesberg out of the good producing mare, On Call. What an athletic guy this colt is! Very well balanced and stocky as well as extremely coordinated and brave, this colt should make his owners very happy when his time to race arrives! |
The run on colts continued with this nice boy by Honorable Dillon out of Jacqui's Promise. Though a pretty chestnut color at birth, this colt will be grey like his sire as he gets older. As a grandson of Tapit and out of a 9 time winning mare who earned over $242K in her career, this big colt has the stats to make a great racehorse. |
May started out with yet another colt, foaled 5/6/17. This leggy guy is by Can the Man and out of a nice big Two Punch mare, Lightning Speed. Dam of 8 foals of racing age, 7 are winners and this colt should be no different. He is tall, correct and has the confident yet cooperative race horse attitude every trainer is looking for. |
bit different than our usual type, but what she lacks in size and speed, she more than makes up for in cuteness. This little girl, Carousel, was a mystery foal. Her mother, Zelda, was rescued from an auction kill pen and her owners soon realized they had bought two horses instead of just one. Fast forward nine months to 5/8/17 and we welcomed the arrival of an apparently purebred Haflinger filly who quickly won everyone's hearts. |
